What We Believe

"What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us." - A.W. Tozer

one.

The Bible

We believe the Bible is God's inspired Word and reveals His eternal plan and will for all humanity as recorded by holy men of old who received, spoke, and wrote as the Holy Spirit moved them. “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.
2 Timothy 3:16, NKJV
“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.”

THE SCRIPTURES

We believe God is the only eternal, all-powerful, all-knowing, ever-present Creator—preeminent over all things seen and unseen, visible and invisible, tangible and intangible. He is the supreme Creator, Ruler, and Governor of the universe—natural, spiritual, heaven, and earth. We believe He is the One God, yet reveals Himself as Triune: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
Hebrews 1:1-4, NKJV
1. “God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in times past to the fathers by the prophets,
2. has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds;
3. who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by His powerful word, after making purification for sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high;
4. having become as much superior to angels as the name He has inherited is more excellent than theirs.”
John 1:1-5, NKJV
1. “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2. He was in the beginning with God.
3. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.
4. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.
5. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.”
Colossians 1:12-20, NKJV
12. “giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light;
13. who has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love,
14. in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins;
15. who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation;
16. for by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or powers—all things were created through Him and for Him;
17. and He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together;
18. and He is the head of the body, the church; who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence;
19. for it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell,
20. and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, having made peace through the blood of His cross, whether things on earth or things in heaven.”

three.

JESUS CHRIST

We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God—the only begotten Son of the Father (the One True God). He is the anointed Messiah and the Savior of the whole world, as foretold and declared in the Holy Scriptures. We believe He is the fulfillment of the prophets’ words concerning His birth and coming. He became the eternal sacrifice for the sins of all humanity! We believe He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, was crucified (died) on the cross, was buried, and was raised on the third day. Because of His life and sacrifice, humanity is forgiven and can receive abundant life here and eternal life in the world to come.
John 1:1, NKJV
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”
John 3:16-17, NKJV
16. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
17. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.”

four.

THe holy spirit

We believe in the infilling and indwelling of the Holy Spirit. As born-again believers (children of God), we are spiritually enabled, released, and empowered to witness His love, grace, and healing power through the special gifts He freely gives to build up the body of Christ.
Mark 1:8, NKJV
“I have baptized you with water, but He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit.”
Luke 1:35, NKJV
“Then the angel answered and said to her, ‘The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore, the Child to be born will be called holy, the Son of God.’”
John 14:26, NKJV
“But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you.”
Acts 1:8, NKJV
“But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

five.

MANKIND

We believe mankind was created in and after the image and likeness of God out of His deep desire for loving fellowship and purpose. God created humanity—male and female—according to His own will to carry out His unique plan and purpose for the earth.
Genesis 1:27, NKJV
“So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.”

six.

SIN

We believe that humanity’s sinful nature came as a direct result of the transgression of the first man, Adam; as a result, sin, sickness, and disease entered the world. Yet, Jesus died to be the remedy for all. Through Jesus Christ, we are saved, and sin no longer holds power over us.
Romans 5:20, NKJV
“Now the law entered that the offense might abound, but where sin abounded, grace abounded all the more.”

seven.

SALVATION & BEING "BORN AGAIN"

We believe that salvation—being spiritually reborn and receiving eternal life—is fully provided through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. Through His life, death, burial, and resurrection, our sins have been completely paid for. Our eternal security is secured when one believes, trusts in, and relies solely on what He did for the world. We believe that only through Christ are we saved and given eternal life.
1 Peter 1:23, NKJV
“Having been born again, not of corruptible seed but of incorruptible, through the living and abiding word of God.”

eight.

SPIRITUAL LIFE

We believe that through faith in Jesus Christ—His life, death, and resurrection—we are spiritually reborn, forgiven, reconciled, restored, and reconnected as sons and daughters of God. Through Him, we are restored to fellowship with God the Father, and our sins are forgiven by receiving His life-saving gift of grace by faith.
Galatians 4:7, NKJV
“Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.”

nine.

ETERNAL LIFE

We believe that beyond this natural life there exists an eternal existence far greater than anything this world offers. We believe Heaven is the infinite, ultimate resting place for all who believe in, receive, and trust in what Jesus Christ accomplished through His death, burial, and resurrection. This blessed state is what we call Heaven.
1 John 2:25, NKJV
“And this is the promise that He Himself has promised us—eternal life.”

PRAYER

We believe that prayer is both a privilege and an essential part of our lives as believers. As spiritual beings—God’s children—we possess the unique ability to communicate with Him in our hearts and minds. Through prayer, God hears and answers us, whether by divine intervention, through His Word, spiritual guidance, or the loving support of those around us.
Matthew 6:5-15, NKJV
5. “And when you pray, you shall not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward.
6. But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.
7. And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words.
8. Do not be like them, for your Father knows your need before you ask Him.
9. “In this manner, therefore, pray: ‘Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name.
10. Your kingdom come. Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
11. Give us this day our daily bread.
12. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
13. And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.
14. For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
15. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.’”

eleven.

THE CHURCH

We believe Christ died to save and reconcile us to God and to establish His church on earth. As His people—sons and daughters—we find faith, fellowship, and meaning through serving Him, one another, our community, and the world. The church is God’s chosen means to equip His children to reach out with His healing power and grace. Every believer is called to be rooted in a healthy church fellowship under the spiritual leadership of a pastor who leads with a heart and vision that aligns with God’s will.
Matthew 16:18, NKJV
“And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.”

twelve.

THE POWER OF AGREEMENT

We believe there is power in spiritual agreement and that amazing things happen when we pray in unity with His will. When believers join in prayer, hearts change, situations change, and miracles occur!
Matthew 18:19, NKJV
“Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything for which you ask, it will be done for you by My Father in heaven.”

GIVING (DONATION)

We believe it gives our Heavenly Father great pleasure to bless us—spiritually, physically, and financially—so that we, in turn, may bless others. God endows His people with resources, enabling us to share generously. Giving is to be done by faith (and not out of compulsion) with a deep love for God, His church, and His Kingdom, so that others might come to know Christ Jesus. We embrace the biblical principle of tithes and offerings, giving not from necessity but from faith, confident that God’s abundant favor rests upon all who are part of His Covenant, His Kingdom, and His church.
Malachi 3:10-12, NKJV
10. “Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house, and try Me now in this,” says the LORD of hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it.”
11. “Then I will rebuke the devourer for your sake, and He will not destroy the fruit of your ground, nor will the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field,” says the LORD of hosts.
12. “And all nations will call you blessed, for you will be a delight,” says the LORD of hosts.
2 Corinthians 9:6-15, NKJV
6. “But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.”
7. “So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver.”
8. “And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.”
9. “Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and multiply your seed for sowing, and increase the harvest of your righteousness.”
10. “Now may He who supplies seed to the sower also supply and multiply the seed you have sown, and increase the harvest of your righteousness.”
11. “You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.”
12. “For the ministry of this service is not only supplying the needs of the saints, but is also overflowing in many thanksgivings to God.”
13. “For you see that the one who supplies seed to the sower also supplies and increases your store of seed, and supplies you with bread for food.”
14. “And this service is not only supplying the needs of the saints, but is also overflowing in many thanksgivings to God.”
15. “And to God be the glory forever! Amen.”
